Hello again, world. I’ve been gone for a little while dealing with a devastating personal loss. It took me a while of putting one foot in front of the other until I realised that I’m able to go through longer periods without plunging into utter dispair.
The last few weeks were…strange if I can put it this way, time of incerdible lows but also wonderful hights amidst the grief and dispair.
My parents came to help me with Sascha & The Boys
. I booked models and make up artist for my first photoshoot and my dad (his Instagram is @behindtheseventhdoor) was the photographer. We prepared moodboards, discussed takes in advance and had a lot of fun, despite me being super nervous about the whole thing. As it turned out, I didn’t need to be. It seems that 3 years shooting for the blog prepared me for this. Even the rain on the first day turned out to be a blessing in disguise because shops fronts on Covent Garden were reflected in wet cobblestones, making for a wonderfully moody photos.
I’ll show you first photos next week- I hope you will like them as much as I do. My line is still in development so the models were wearing classic white shirts, which is very much the brand’s aesthetic. The clothes will be pared back and focused on fit and fabric and quality. I’ve recently had the need to strip everything back to the very minimum but the minimum has to be of the best quality. I apply this not only to my clothes but also my relationships.
From today, things as back to normal which means a post once a week. It would mean a world to me, if you visit Sascha & The Boys
once a week, too. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
