It may be March but I’m still living in winter wonderland. I’ve just retuned from Poland (you can see winter in all its white glory on these photos) and London, too has had its fair share of snow (and we’ve called the army for help, because you know, we don’t really do snow here in the UK). Hence the fur coat (vintage, for all those fur vigilante on Insta) which han’t left my back since the beginning of December.
I missed talking to you. I didn’t mean to abandon the blog for such a long time. Photoshoots Trish and I had planned for November (and December) never happened and well, here we are in March. But I’m back and I’ve exciting news- my line, Sasha & The Boys will launch in Spring 2019!
Ok, so I’m taking my time but it’s ok because I’m building it from scratch. I’ve been learning a lot about branding recently (I got a huge lesson in branding at the beginning of last year when I bought bags to sell online), stuff I had no idea about- brand personality, colour psychology. The question whether Sasha should have a winter or summer personality sent me into a tailspin. I’ve been working with a coach on my brand story and content, and soon I will share with you a link to another blog, where I will explore questions of sophistication, independence, risk taking and honesty.
It’s exciting, building a brand from the very foundations. It’s scary, too on occasions. The worse are those evenings when I go back home, exhausted from running my other business and my old friends, anxiety and doubt are already at the door, ready to pounce. What are you doing? Why do you think you can pull this off?- asks one. Yeah, says another- you’ve never been to a design school. What are you thinking? So special shoutout to my parents, my mum for her unwavering support and my dad for his astonishing insight into the business of fashion. Where would I be without you? 🙂
I hope you’ll come back to visit me next weekend. I’m off to Paris tomorrow- photos of Eiffel Tower anybody? 😉
