Choosing what to wear to the shows at London Fashion Week turned out to be a relatively easy affair.  Maybe it was because I was on a home turf and felt quite relaxed or maybe because I edited my wardrobe so much (you can read all about it here) that I had a very little choice on the matter.  The whole thing took me exactly half an hour.  In the absence of Trish it was The French who became a reluctant arbiter of style. Out of four options I finally decided on my Isabel Marant jacket, an overseized silk shirt and my newly bought and hacked above the ankle Levis. Accessories wise I wore my new Rupert Sanderson taupe heels and Zofia Chylak python effect bucket bag, which had only just arrived from Poland and became my new best friend for the foreseeable. Late (no time to take photos save for a customary Uber selfie), I set off.

It was a fabulous night. I will tell you more about the clothes in details once I get official photos but for now I’ve home edited a short video I took. You are welcome to fall over laughing at my editing skills but I can only say- it’s my first ever video so things can only get better, right?

It was great to meet up with the crew from Oxford Fashion Studio who organised the show. We met first time in Paris in September (I told you all about it here and here) and I loved their idea of showing young designers.  I feel very privileged to be part of their support network and to be able to show you emerging talent and of course fantastic clothes. The video you see is from the couture shows. I got a bit distracted in the afternoon not knowing whether to take photos, video or stream on Periscope, and trying to do all of it, I failed on all fronts. But I did manage to fall in love with Rosie Billington’s grown up, considered and red carpet worthy creations as well as beautifully cut khaki leather by Concepto. Couture shows had me marveling at overseized military inspired coats by Giulia Bassano Fossati. Perhaps the most applauded at the evening show was very young (guys, we’re talking very early twenties) designer Daniel Pascal Tanner whose collection (you can see the collection on the video, clue- a boob…) shown extraordinary and mature talent. Watch this space, guys. I know I will- this man will go very far.

London Fashion Week has ended for me and I’m back to business (literally) but Paris is just round the corner. I got invitations for fabulous shows and I can’t wait to tell you all about it, and of course I’ll be also joining my friends from Oxford Fashion Studio, too. And seriously, you should see my hotel…I’m staying in a fabulous suite in a place just off Champs-Élysées so expect interiors overload on my Instagram feed 🙂 As for my Paris wardrobe…all I will say for now is that my Isabel Marant Milford jacket has arrived and there are a few more pieces to come. Stay tuned…
