Until very recently I’ve been torn between wanting that glossy, bouncy mane a la Kim Sears at Wimbledon and matte, texturised beachy waves a la Californian surfer girl.
The trouble with my hair is that a bouncy blow dry lasts about 5 minutes before my locks return to their natural, dishevelled state with some frizz added for good measure. After trying on different tricks of the trade (this one is rather excellent or you may want to try this) I thought- sod it and give me that salt spray! It was time for a different- and less maintenance, approach.
Round about that time I’ve came across a review of Oribe texturising spray. Someone said volume? Sign me in!
Guys, that stuff is insane in every way- insanely good albeit insanely expensive. But those truly desperate amongst us (Trish would not relate on account of always having a good hair day) would happily spend the last penny if it means that our hair looks presentable. I don’t know about you but for me the way my hair looks on a given day has a direct correlation to my mood. Oribe not only gives my hair volume but somehow defines my waves for that beachy, salty look with mat texture. For the first time in…I don’t even remember how long, I actually like my hair.
Since buying it I’ve stopped subjecting my hair to any kind of heat. I treat it with John Frieda Frizz-Ease Original 6 Effects Serum to calm the frizz down and then spray it with Oribe when it’s dry. I’m not only obsessed with it but utterly addicted to that “just rolled out of bed” effect. Now I only have to win the lottery to keep me in endless supply 🙂
