All my recent obsessions started online and the one starring Isabel Marant boots was no exception. I don’t know where I saw them first but like in a Disney cartoon- I looked at them, they looked at me and we lived happily ever after.
Except when it rains, which it had an awful lot at the end of September. Still, I’ve decided that I can’t be too precious about them because if I didn’t wear them now, then when? Winter is coming (I don’t think I will ever be able to say this sentence again with a straight face) and if you would believe London cabbies, El Ninio is here and the winter will be awfully cold and snowy.
I used to be scared of ankle boots which my mother used to call “the hooves”. She hated them and I can see why- she saw them at their worst, badly made, coupled with tube midi skirts (no, no that chic one from The Outnet) and a knitted mohair berets. I cringe, too when I remember seeing that. But now even my mother wears them- with leather pants and tweed jackets.
I must admit, I didn’t yet style them in lot of different ways. I like them with tucked loosely bootcut denim and I imagine they would look amazing with a mini skirt, although I might have missed the boat and bare legs and a mini skirt is probably not a very fortunate idea.
I hope you won’t mind such a short post. I’ve been running around like crazy all day before attending a super cool event tonight, which I can’t wait to tell you about. But I may have to jostle for attention with Trish who just returned from South America and has a lot to tell you (and just wait when you see the photos!) 🙂
So see you soon girls. I’ll be posting about Paris Fashion Week very soon so stay tuned for a good doze of glitz and glamour. And in case you wandering, my Isabel Marant boots and I are best friends. As we are not mean girls, we allow Haylee jacket and Celine bag to sit with us.
