Hello from France 🙂 A week ago, after a turbulent month The French and I moved to the Atlantic. It hasn’t sank in yet. At the moment, I still feel like I’m on holiday. We drive around the coast exploring charming fishing villages (check out my Insta stories!), eating and drinking too much (and promise ourselves that “operation six pack” will start some time next week) and trying to find our identities in the new place. I think it will take a while for us to start calling the town home.
What a strange year it has been so far. I have lost two very important people in a very short succession. It would be impossible to describe the depths of my grief. It’s always there and I feel like it will always stay with me.
On the other hand, my dreams are beginning to come true. I’ve been dreaming of moving to France for years and at some point I gave up all hope. Suddenly, in the matter of few months, it was happening. And- would you believe it- on 11 September I have the first fitting for Sascha & The Boys first collection. I’m excited and scared at the same time but things finally begin to take shape. It’s truly a year of high and lows.
The photos you see today were taken in Eger, Hungary in July. The skirt is from this S/S season COS and the silk shirt is from a vintage shop. I adore the skirt- it was the shape I was looking for. I love its simplicity. When roaming the shops of Eger, we found locally made, porcelain, hand painted jewellery and I chose the red bracelet you see here. It will look great in the fall, paired with olive-green parka.
How about you- did you have a good summer?
