At the moment, I think I may just have the happiest husband in the world. He bought a new macro lens for his camera and immediately fell in love with it. From the moment he unpacked it and took the first pictures he was so happy and loved it so much that at one point I started to feel a bit jealous. All he has talked about for the last week is the new lens. Somehow all our conversations take us to photography, and out of around 150 shots for the new post, over a hundred ended up being macro shots of flowers instead of the post subjects… ( i.e. me ;D ). I think Ana and I created a monster! So out of respect for our official blog photographer and his talent (and the new lens) I decided to share some of the “macro” pics with you.
Though to be honest, these pictures are so beautiful I can’t stop looking at them. I hope you will like them too. Macro photography has unlocked an entirely new world for me.
MY WINE FOR THIS WEEK
This is one of my Lewes bounties, Villa Wolff Pinot Noir Rosé. As you may already know, Villa Wolff is from the Dr. Loosen estates, one of my favourite wine producers because they are usually great value for money and very reliable. Their Pinot Rosé is really fresh and fruity with ripe red berry aromas. It’s slightly fizzy on the palate and pleasantly tickles the tongue, giving a sensation of extra freshness and lightness while the finish is bursting with ripe fruits. Yummy!
