The title may be a little misleading. I’m not talking about breaking free from Her Majesty’s Pleasure Pentonville prison or another equally grim place.
Rather, I’m breaking free from fashion pressure I’ve put myself under. I used to beat myself up for not being a trendsetter or not having super original ideas. But now I’ve realised that I used to put myself under pressure for no reason. After all, I’m not a model and I’m not a full time fashion blogger, nor do I want to be. I run a business. I’m getting ready to open another one. I met and married the love of my life. I play sport. I love my busy life and live it on my terms.
As much as I appreciate being invited to the shows , day to day fashion has to be on my terms, too to work for me. That’s why I’m now free from pressure to push fashion boundaries. I’m happy with my style.
My outfit today is one of my favourite pairings. The top is from Isabel Marant for H&M and it’s one of the hardest working piece in my wardrobe. I wear it with denim, pencil skirt, leather pants…Today I paired with my favourite Zara denim and Chanel accessories. I bought the shoes in Paris. I decided on a low block heel so I could wear it every day to spice up simple tees and jeans.
