This fantastic summer cocktail was introduced to me by a friend who visited France a couple of weeks ago. She tells me that she went to a café and asked for an Americano, and this is what she got.  Slightly shocked to be served with a cocktail instead of coffee, she tried it and liked it so much that she continued to order Americanos throughout her holiday. I have to say that I’m not surprised. I fell in love at the first sip. It’s dry, slightly bitter and very refreshing without being over alcoholic, and it looks as good as it tastes. This is a perfect drink to serve before a barbeque or any theme during the summer. It will ornament beautifully any garden party.
