It’s time to get ready – the party season is just round the corner! No need to panic just yet but the last bell has rung to start planning your Christmas party calendar. So go get your tux dry cleaned, root through your wardrobe for those sparkling heels you can dance in the whole night, dust off your Santa hat, and off you go hunting for the perfect party dress.
On my part, I can help with some party drinks ideas. Today I’m sharing a recipe for a perfect Christmas party cocktail – the Mince Pie Martini.
This is sweet, lush and very Christmassy, also perfect as pudding substitute.
25ml Santa Teresa Rum Orange (if you can’t get this or another orange-infused rum, try a few drops of orange bitter and golden rum)
25ml Havana Club 7 Year Old Rum (or other good quality aged dark rum)
75ml Cloudy Apple Juice
2 teaspoons Mincemeat
Fill the shaker with ice, add the ingredients, shake and strain into a pre-chilled martini glass. Top with a thin layer of double cream, and garnish with a dusting of ground cinnamon and nutmeg and slice of apple.
