There’s a new kid on the block and we are all obsessed here. It involves bee stung, pillowy lips in 10 minutes sans lip injections. How does this sound to you?
I’ve been introduced to the treatment in Face Gym (I wrote about Face Gym here and here) when I booked in for a laser to firm up my skin and banish fine lines (having had ten years taken of my face, the treatment deserves a separate post). The laser stimulates collagen leaving you with plump, pillowy lips.
The treatment itself is very short and lasts up to 10 minutes. You are taken to a private room, given goggles and a therapist treats your lips and mouth area with a tiny laser. Mostly you don’t feel anything but sometimes there’s a little tingle. After 10 minutes and an application of a nourishing balm you are free to go.
Immediate result is very subtle but the laser has worked it’s magic and two days later you wake up to bee stung lips which are entirely yours, just fuller.
There are two drawbacks. Firstly, if you suffer from a cold sore, the laser can trigger an onset. I’ve suffered from a cold sore for years and it hasn’t happen to me yet, but that’s a risk you’re running. Secondly, it’s expensive costing around £40 for a treatment. I should also add that it’s utterly addictive and once you start and see the result, you will be back. I can guarantee it.
You may recognise the photos from previous fashion related posts. On all of them you can see the results about a week after a treatment.
I’ve had a previous experience with lip injections and although I haven’t experienced a horror story, I wasn’t impressed as I felt it had changed the shape of my lips in a way I didn’t bargain for. Results of Face Gym treatment are beautiful yet entirely natural looking. I’ve been hooked on it for a while now and although my wallet is not thanking me for it, my lips are.
